The Long Island Association (LIA) brings Long Islanders together to make Long Island a better place… for all of us. LIA starts with small businesses; Small businesses are the bedrock of Long Island's economy. The LIA also includes most of the Island's largest businesses, as well as hospitals, colleges, universities, research laboratories and non-profit organizations.

Non-profit and non-partisan, the LIA helps businesses succeed so they can create and retain jobs here. It also identifies the issues our entire region faces so Long Island itself can be successful: taxes, housing, energy costs, education, transportation, economic development and many others.

The LIA acts as the voice of the community, encouraging government–at all levels–to do what is right for Long Island. Long Island is a great place to live, work, and do business, but there are numerous initiatives that the LIA supports to make it an even better place to live, work, and do business.
