    The General Hearing Services (GHS) Hearing Pass is a value-added discount program that offers members a hearing evaluation at no cost and access to all name brand manufacturer hearing devices and related professional services, with a substantial savings of up to 50% off Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Pricing (MSRP).

    Participants who wish to access the Hearing Pass can contact GHS toll-free at 800.480.0558 to register for the program. The GHS representative will locate the most convenient hearing care provider for the participant and register them for services at the location selected.

    Initiation

    Member contacts call center toll free at 800.480.0558.

    Registration and Referral

    GHS Hearing Counselor registers member and issues referral to local participating provider.

    Payment Processing

    After patient is seen, provider sends hearing device recommendation with patient’s audiometric results to GHS. GHS will contact patient to discuss recommendation, insurance coverage, and any applicable out-of-pocket expense with payment and financing options.

    Fitting and Trial Period

    The hearing device(s) are ordered by provider. Patient is fit with the hearing device(s), beginning their 45 day trial period.

    Finalization

    At the completion of the 45 day trial period, both patient and provider sign off on the hearing device(s). Patient is then mailed a complimentary one year supply of batteries and the repair warranty is extended to 3 years (excludes Basic Level devices).
