LIA Action
The LIA brings Long Islanders together to make Long Island a better place. For all of us. LIA starts with small businesses, thousands of them. In fact, it would be fair to say that the LIA first and foremost is a small business association. Small businesses are the bedrock of Long Island’s economy. The LIA also includes most of the Island’s largest businesses, as well as labor unions, hospitals, colleges, universities, research laboratories, non-profits, school districts, and government agencies. It is non-profit and non-partisan. LIA helps businesses succeed in business so that they can create and retain jobs here. It also identifies the issues our entire region has to deal with so that Long Island itself can be successful. Issues like taxes, housing, energy costs, education, transportation, and many others. LIA acts as the voice of the community, telling government at all levels what’s the right thing to do for Long Island. For all of us. Long Island is a complicated place and there are dozens of changes that the LIA supports to make the Island a better place to live and do business.
