Former LIA President Matthew T. Crosson Passes Away

It's with great sadness that the Long Island Association announces the passing of former President Matthew T. Crosson, who died Dec. 23 after suffering a stroke earlier this year. Crosson was LIA President for 16 years, before leaving Long Island to take over the presidency of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce this past April.

"Long Island has lost a great man. All Long Islanders owe Matt a great deal of gratitude as he was a champion fighter for our region's interests. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Elaine and his son Danny," explained Kevin S. Law, LIA President and CEO. A memorial service is planned on Long Island sometime in 2011. Crosson was 61.
