Joe Torre and Rudy Giuliani to Keynote the LIA Fall Luncheon

The LIA 2011 Fall Luncheon will feature two of America's most respected and influential New Yorkers, former NY Yankee Manager Joe Torre and former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani who will speak to the leaders of Long Island on Tuesday, October 11 at 11 a.m. at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

Rudy Giuliani was elected the 107th Mayor of New York City in 1993. Serving two terms as Mayor, Giuliani was credited with initiating improvements, reducing crime, returning accountability to City government and enhancing the quality of life for all New Yorkers. Giuliani gained international attention for his leadership and became a global icon known as America's Mayor.

Joe Torre spent 12 seasons as the manager of the New York Yankees, joining Casey Stengel, Yogi Berra and Dallas Green as only the fourth skipper to wear the uniform of both the Yankees and the New York Mets. The Yankees made the playoffs every year during his tenure and he led the Yankees to six World Series appearances during his 12-year reign where the Yankees won four championships.
