NYS Department of Financial Services Superintendent Benjamin Lawsky's first appearance before the LI business community
This morning, Benjamin Lawsky, the first-ever Superintendent for the New York State Department of Financial Services, spoke to an executive breakfast hosted by the Long Island Association at the Crest Hollow Country Club. In this capacity, he leads Governor Andrew Cuomo's initiative to integrate the New York State Banking and Insurance Departments towards a modern, unified financial regulator. Superintendent Lawsky touched on a number of subjects of interest to Long Islands business community, including his objectives to keep New York on the cutting edge as the financial capital of the world, protect consumers better than ever before, and serve as a model of efficient government.
