LIA Energy & Environoment Committee "Natural Gas Day"

The LIA's Energy and Environment Committee met on Tuesday, September 18th at the LIA headquarters in Melville. This meeting was "Natural Gas Day" for the committee as it featured three presentations concerning the future of natural gas on Long Island and two current natural gas supply and pipeline projects that are proposed for the region.
The first presentation on The Future of Natural Gas on Long Island was given by Michael Ruiz, Director of Community and Customer Management for National Grid, followed by Joe Vaszily, Senior Commercial Adviser for Liberty Natural Gas on The Liberty LNG Deepwater Port, and the final presentation of the day was given by Todd L. White, P.E. Director, Business Development & Transportation Services for Iroquois Pipeline on The Iroquois Pipeline Lateral Extension to Shoreham.
This member strategic committee is led by co-chairs Robert Catell, Chairman of the Advanced Energy Research & Technology Center, and Harry Davitian, President of Entek Power Services, Inc.
