The LIA seeks to create and retain balanced economic opportunities and jobs in a clean, healthy and safe environment.  The mission of the LIA is to lead and unify the region in order to strengthen Long Island as a place to live, work, and do business.  County Executive Mangano addressed the audience stating, "The LIA brings together so many groups of individuals in order to make Long Island an even better place to live, work, raise a family, and do business...for that they should be commended."
