2021 Golf Classic: In 2021 the LIA brought back the first Golf Classic in decades and a networking dinner, which was important for our members to re-connect after being primarily virtual during Covid.

Awards Dinners: Every year we honor business leaders who have made significant contributions to Long Island’s economy.

Committee meetings feature subject-matter experts on sectors that are vital to Long Island’s economy, and allows our members to network and learn more about issues impacting Long Island. The Committees include:

High-ranking New York State elected and appointed officials, including the U.S. Senators, members of the Congressional Delegation, County Executives, Attorney Generals, State Senators, and influential leaders in banking, energy, environment, education, transportation, real estate, public safety, and healthcare have spoken at the LIA, as well as subject-matter experts on issues important to the business community.

The LIA has partnered with Newsday to offer the business community up-to-date information on resources and issues to help them navigate the Covid-19 pandemic.
